Videx ABS proximity fob (EM format 125kHz) Overview
This is a genuine Videx proximity fob (part number 955/T), built specifically for Videx's Vprox access control systems, both controller-based and standalone setups. It's made from durable ABS plastic with a key ring hole, and uses the EM4002 format at 125kHz, the same technology used across the Vprox range. Each fob is individually numbered, so if you ever need to add or remove one from your system manually rather than through an enrolment reader, the printed number makes that straightforward.
We also stock Videx Proximity Cards, which are a matching credit card-sized version (955/C) if a card suits your setup better than a fob.
Is This the Right Fob for Your System?
This fob is built specifically for Videx Vprox systems, it isn't a universal proximity fob compatible with any other access control system. Before ordering, confirm your system is a Vprox setup and reads 125kHz EM format, rather than a different frequency or technology such as 13.56MHz MIFARE. Which Comelit systems this fob works with
The fob is compatible with the full Comelit SimpleKey series: SimpleKey Basic (SK9000I reader), SimpleKey Advanced (SK9001I reader), SimpleSafe VEDO, and SimpleHome. That breadth of compatibility means you can order the same fob for a single door entry point or a multi-door installation, and it will work in either context. Each fob carries an anti-forgery electronic chip, so credentials cannot simply be copied and used by an unauthorised holder.
Colour-coded fobs for easier user group management
The fob is available in five colours: blue, green, orange, red, and yellow. Assigning a single colour to a user group, a floor, a department, or a contractor cohort lets whoever manages the system see at a glance which fobs belong where, without opening any software. That makes issuing, collecting, and auditing credentials considerably faster in sites where many proximity fobs are in circulation. When used with the Comelit SimpleKey software, adding and removing users is easy to do without any specialist tooling.
Construction and dimensions
The body is moulded from durable ABS plastic and measures 42 × 35 × 7 mm. At that size, it adds no noticeable bulk to a key ring, and the ABS shell is built to handle everyday wear. Comelit designed the SimpleKey range for both commercial applications and residential door entry, so the fob is appropriate whether you are managing access to an office, a managed residential block, or a mixed-use building.
