The Impro GB/TRK900 is a 4 button remote control key fob for opening automated gates or garage doors that run on an Impro access control system. Each button sends its own channel code along with the transmitter's unique ID, so one key fob transmitter can operate up to four separate entry points or functions on the same site.

How the Impro Transmitter Controls Gates and Barriers

The transmitter works on a UHF frequency of 433.92 MHz and talks to an Impro Quad Receiver. The receiver passes the signal on to Impro controllers such as the IXP20 and IXP220, and it also works alongside FlexiScan and UniScan controllers. Because the Impro system is wired into the control board of each gate or barrier, a driver can press one button for the main vehicle gate and another for a car park barrier, and the system knows exactly which fob sent the command.

Range and Access Control Options

Impro rates the reliable UHF range at 20 to 50 metres, rising to 50 to 100 metres in direct line of sight with the Impro Quad Receiver. That gives drivers enough distance to open the gate before they reach it.

The fob also works as a passive 125kHz tag, so the same credential can be presented to compatible Impro readers at a pedestrian door, with a read range of roughly 12mm to 50mm. It runs on an internal battery for transmitting, it's built for indoor and outdoor use, and has an integrated keyring connector so it sits comfortably with a set of car keys.

Is This the Right Gate Remote for Your Impro System?

This gate remote control transmitter key is built for Impro gate automation systems only, and it won't pair with other brands of automated gate openers and garage doors. If you're replacing an older Impro fob, the GB/TRK900 replaces the XQT904, but it's worth checking your system's installation manual or asking your installer before ordering. Programming happens on the Impro side: the fob's ID is enrolled into the system and each button is assigned its job, following Impro's instructions for use.

If some users only need door access with no vehicle gate involved, the Impro Keyring Tag (GB-TKX900) is the simpler passive option. For sites running vehicle gates and barriers on Impro, the GB/TRK900 puts four channels of control on a single keyring.
