The card itself is plain white with a small HID logo and card number printed along the bottom edge, leaving the rest of both surfaces clear for photo ID or branding. Optional additions at the factory level include a magnetic stripe, barcode, custom artwork, and anti-counterfeiting features such as holograms, ultra-violet fluorescent inks, and micro-printing. The card carries no vertical slot punch, but three guide dots indicate the safe punching position; slot punching after printing protects the printer's printhead.
