Abloy effeff 131 Electric Strike Overview The effeff 131 is a fail-locked electric strike for fire doorsets, certified to EN 14846:2008 with a break-in resistance of 15,000 N. The door stays secure if the power drops out but the inside handle still withdraws the latch as normal, so the strike won’t stop people leaving. It releases under a preload of up to 250 N, so a door that’s being pushed against its seals will still open when the reader grants access. This version is DIN right-handed and runs on 12 V DC only, so check the handing of your door and pair it with a stabilised DC power supply. The precision-cast steel housing can go in vertically or horizontally, so it suits frames where a vertical strike won’t fit. Features: Fail-locked: stays locked when power is removed Certified to EN 14846:2008 for use on fire doorsets Break-in resistance: 15,000 N Reliable unlocking under preload Sturdy precision-cast steel housing Suitable for vertical or horizontal fitting DIN direction: right-hand Dimensions: Height: 134 mm Width: 23 mm Depth: 39 mm Technical Specifications: Voltage: 12 V DC (direct current operation only) Operating voltage tolerance: ±1 V Rated resistance: 42 Ω Current consumption (stabilised DC): 285 mA Maximum latch preload (stabilised DC): 250 N Operating temperature range: −15°C to +40°C Housing material: precision-cast steel Latch material: steel..
